How do I change my registered agent?
If we are your current registered agent, request the change from the dashboard. We handle the state filing.
Changing your registered agent is a state-by-state filing. If we are your current registered agent, you can request a change from Compliance → Registered agent. We file the change-of-agent form with your state.
State filing fees for the change typically run $0-$50. We charge no service fee for this if you are on a Standard plan or higher.
If you formed with another provider and want to switch to us, the process is the same in reverse: we file the new agent designation with the state and notify your old agent. Most state filings process in 5-10 business days.
Why founders change agents
Common reasons: switching from a provider with annual fees ($125-$200/year) to one included in their compliance plan, consolidating multi-state agents, or moving from a personal address to a privacy-preserving service.
